  • Prepare your body

This is indeed a physical sport; it involves your whole body from head to foot in order to play it well. Eat enough, sleep right to ensure that your reflexes will serve you right.

If you think that you are sick or weak, it is highly recommended that you postpone your game for some other time. Do not force yourself to play the sport if you know that you are not completely healthy to do so. If you force your weak body to play, expect that you will get weaker after the game.

  • Prepare all your tennis equipment

You have to make sure that you are prepared with all your tennis equipment, most especially the racket you will use. You also have to be in your most comfortable tennis outfit and shoes to ensure that your clothing and shoes won’t hinder your moves while in the court.

Investing in good tennis equipment is something you have to consider whether you are planning to consider tennis as a profession or as a passion.

  • Carry enough water with you

Keep in mind that this sport is tiring and can even dehydrate you because of the perspiration you will shed while playing. Bringing enough water or energy drink to court is highly recommended. Some even bring energy bar to make sure that they will have enough energy all throughout their game.

Bringing enough water, and also energy bar for support, is without a doubt a good idea.

  • Exercise and stretch

Exercising and stretching are important as these activities can help you avoid injuries while playing tennis. There are a lot of body movements involved while playing tennis, with this, it is very important that you make your body very ready on this physically demanding sports.

There is also a chance that you might get bruised while playing tennis, hence it is best if you wear knee pads especially if you are just new with the sports. Athletes do not wear them because it may cause disruptions when they play, but needless to say, if you are just starting, best if you consider wearing them for safety.
